ESPN's College GameDay is coming to TCU and broadcasting from Campus Commons at the University Union on Saturday, Oct. 7, ahead of TCU's showdown with West Virginia. The show will air from 8 a.m. CT to 11 a.m. CT. All information regarding the show can be found on this page.
The general public will be allowed to enter the Campus Commons beginning at 12 a.m. (Midnight) on Saturday.
Only the entrances North and South of the Campus Commons (near North and South Drive) will open at 12 a.m. An entrance through the breezeway of the Brown-Lupton University Union will open at 6 a.m. on Saturday.
Clear Bag Policy/Prohibited Items
TCU's Clear Bag Policy will be in effect for fans entering the Campus Commons. CLICK HERE to learn more about the policy.
Alcohol, tobacco and pets WILL NOT BE ALLOWED in the Campus Commons.
All donor parking lots will open at 6 a.m. Regular gameday rules still apply, including a NO IN-AND-OUT parking lot policy.
The free McKinney Bible Church (Directions) lot will open at 6 a.m. with a free shuttle service also beginning at 6 a.m.
The show will air from the Campus Commons at the University Union, located between Brown-Lupton University Union and Scharbauer Hall. The College GameDay main stage will be in the center of Campus Commons, facing Scharbauer Hall. Fans are encouraged to stand behind the stage and in the background of ESPN's main camera shot throughout the show.
One of the biggest traditions associated with ESPN College GameDay is the making of signs. TCU encourages all fans to bring signs to Campus Commons. The following are ESPN College GameDay's sign policies:
No vulgar signs
No .com signs
No political signs
No religious signs
Frog Alley will open at 11 a.m., 30 minutes earlier than its usual opening time.
