CELEBRATION SUNDAY

We look forward to seeing you Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum as we celebrate our Rose Bowl championship. The doors to the DMC open at 2:30. We'll have concession stands open and Rose Bowl apparel available for purchase. We're expecting a full house, so make every effort to arrive early. We'll have our football student-athletes, head coach Gary Patterson and his staff, Chancellor Boschini, Rose Bowl representatives, Fort Worth Mayor Mike Moncrief and other dignitaries present. There's a great program planned as we pay tribute to a memorable team and season.

NO. 2 AND PROUD

Congratulations again to our Rose Bowl champions on a No. 2 ranking in season-ending polls by the Associated Press and USA Today. We're the only school in the nation to finish in the top 10 in both polls in each of the last three seasons. We've also been in the top 10 in four of the last six years.

HEADGEAR IN DEMAND

Matt Lewis, our fantastic equipment manager who was named the National Equipment Manager of the Year last year, came up with the latest logo craze - the Frog with the rose in its mouth. A replica of the helmet we wore in the Rose Bowl, featuring the Frog and rose, is currently in development as a mini-helmet. We'll announce shortly where those sure-to-be-popular items can be purchased.

DRESS FOR SUCCESS

There continues to be a strong demand for Rose Bowl merchandise. Please make sure to visit our on-line store at http://shop.gofrogs.com as well as the TCU Bookstore, Academy, Flash, Rally House, Walgreens, Kroger, Tom Thumb, Squire Shop, Fanzz, Macy's, JC Penney and Sam's Club. We have our gear throughout Fort Worth and the surrounding area. Let's continue to make sure we paint the town purple.

OUR COACH

Thanks to the support of a great Chancellor and Board of Trustees, we were able to secure a much-deserved new contract for the best football coach in America - Gary Patterson. He is an unbelievable asset to the TCU and Fort Worth communities, and we can't thank him enough for what he has meant to our campus over the last decade.

MUST-SEE TV

Make sure to check out the links we have on the front page of GoFrogs.com for live updates on the reconstruction of Amon G. Carter Stadium. We have two web cams set up that provide a continuous view of what's taking place on the west side and north end zone. As another reminder, we do have four remaining suites available for purchase on the west side. For more information, please contact associate athletics director Davis Babb at d.babb@tcu.edu or (817) 257-5658.

AND THE WINNER IS ...

Our intro video at home football games this season, produced by Old Hat Creative in Norman, Okla., is one of six finalists, and the only one from a college, in the National Sports Forum Achievement Awards "In-Stadium" competition this year. The other finalists are from the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, Orlando Magic, San Diego Padres and San Francisco 49ers.

IT'S A SELLOUT

As expected, our football signing day reception on Wednesday, Feb. 2, at 5 p.m. in the Brown-Lupton University Union is sold out.

A LEGEND RETURNS

Please mark your calendar for Saturday, Jan. 29, at 5 p.m., when we host Air Force in the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. We will recognize former TCU men's basketball standout James Cash with the honoring of his jersey. As part of the festivities that evening, we'll be wearing special "turn-back-the-clock" uniforms.

HOOPS TONIGHT

Please support our men's basketball program tonight as we host Wyoming at 6:30. In addition to football, the Mountain West Conference has made its mark in hoops. The MWC currently has two top-10 teams in San Diego State and BYU with UNLV also in the top 25.

ENTERTAINMENT OPTIONS ABOUND

In addition to our men's basketball game tonight, we have a home women's game and a swimming and diving meet on campus Saturday. Both start at noon. Just go back-and-forth across Stadium Drive. Women's basketball hosts Colorado State, while swimming and diving has their meet against Utah.

BASEBALL SEASON NEARING

Season-ticket sales for our No. 1-ranked baseball team are going very well and are available via our Web site (www.GoFrogs.com), by phone (817-257-3764) or dropping by our athletics ticket office in the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. Current season-ticket holders have until Jan. 28 to renew their tickets and retain their same seats from last spring. Our Frog Club office is also working on baseball season parking.

KEEP IN TOUCH

Please let us know if you ever have any questions or concerns regarding our program. This is also your program and we value your feedback.
