TCU honors Athletes of the Week

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Men's tennis player Cosmin Cotet and women's equestrian rider Kindel Huffman were named TCU's Male and Female Athletes of the Week on Tuesday, while the Gulliver's Road Warrior of the Week award has been given to women's basketball player Adrianne Ross.
Cotet went 3-1 over the weekend to help lead TCU to a 7-0 win over No. 66 Minnesota and a tough 4-3 loss to No. 15 Oklahoma State. He routed No. 46 Raoul Schwark of Minnesota by a score of 6-0, 6-4 to lead the Frogs to a perfect 9-0 record on the season. On Sunday, Cotet upset No. 10 Oleksandr Nedovyesov of Oklahoma State by a score of 4-6, 6-2, 7-6(5) to push his season singles record to 9-1. The senior from Iasi, Romania, is currently ranked No. 83 in singles play and No. 14 in doubles with partner Kriegler Brink.
Huffman went 2-1 against Fresno State on Feb. 22. She earned her first season MVP honors in Equitation over Fences. The senior from Norco, Calif., became the first Horned Frog in school history to earn a MVP in all four events in the same season. Huffman is the only rider in the nation that is undefeated in Horsemanship with a 9-0 record. She currently has seven MVPs on the season which is also a school record.
Ross, a senior from Hobbs, N.M., led TCU to a 76-41 road victory over Colorado State on Feb. 20 with a game-high 16 points. She shot 6-of-12 from the field while collecting three assists and two steals. Ross paced the Lady Frogs in scoring for the 16th time in 26 games this season. She moved into third place on TCU's career games played and starts list, tying former teammate Ashley Davis with her 126 games played and Stacy Price with her 101st start.
