University Drive at I-30 Closed This Weekend

TCU baseball opens Big 12 play this weekend with a three-game home series versus Texas Tech.

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Fans traveling to TCU this weekend for the three-game baseball series with Texas Tech and the TCU Invitational track and field meet, please note that University Drive at I-30 will be closed March 21-24 due to construction of the Chisholm Trail Parkway.

North and southbound University Drive, located south of Interstate 30 between West Vickery Boulevard and West Rosedale Street, will be closed continuously from 9 p.m. Friday, March 21, through 5 a.m. Monday, March 24. Rogers Road will be open to southbound traffic only.

Motorists who want to travel north on University Drive will turn right on West Rosedale Street, left on Forest Park Boulevard, left onto the westbound I-30 Frontage Road, merge onto westbound I-30, take the University Drive exit and turn left onto northbound University Drive.

Motorists looking to travel south on University Drive will turn right onto West Vickery Boulevard, left onto Rogers Road and continue to southbound University Drive.

The closures are required for the safety of the traveling public as construction workers will hoist and set large steel bridge beams for the Chisholm Trail Parkway project.

All closures are subject to weather conditions and will be postponed, if necessary.
