FORT WORTH, Texas -- TCU director of intercollegiate athletics Chris Del Conte has announced the promotions of Mike Sinquefield to associate director of athletics for administration and Matt Lewis to director of football operations.

Sinquefield is in his 19th year at TCU. He originally came to the Horned Frogs as the athletics equipment manager, before taking over as director of football operations in 2000 when Gary Patterson was named head coach. FootballScoop.com recognized Sinquefield in 2011 as the Director of Football Operations of the Year.

In his new role, Sinquefield will have oversight of the football program in addition to other administrative duties.

"Through his long tenure at TCU, Mike is an invaluable resource to our athletics staff as well as the campus and Fort Worth communities," Del Conte said. "We're very excited to take his tremendous organizational and administrative skills into a broader leadership role within our department."

Lewis has worked the last 10 years as TCU's equipment manager and was promoted to assistant athletics director in 2011. Lewis was the recipient of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association's Glenn Sharp Award, the organization's top honor, in 2010. He has also served as the associate executive director of the AEMA.

"Matt is a perfect fit for his new role in our football program and becoming an even more integral part of Coach Patterson's staff," Del Conte said.
