FORT WORTH - True freshman football player Deante’ Gray and junior volleyball player Yvonne Igodan have been selected as TCU’s Athletes of the Week for exceptional performance in both of their sports the past week.

Gray set a TCU single-game record with 160 punt return yards on five attempts, including a 70-yard touchdown in the first quarter of the Hored Frogs’ win against Grambling State Saturday. The previous mark of 146 yards set by All-American Lindy Berry versus Miami in 1947. Gray also the first TCU football student-athlete to receive Big 12 honors as the Special Teams Player of the Week.

Igodan led the women’s volleyball team in their second-straight tournament title with wins over Arizona, Iona and Lipscomb the McKale Center in Tuscon, Ariz.
