TCU Scholar Athletes of the Month

Oct. 11, 2017

FORT WORTH, Texas – Joseph Noteboom of football and Allison Ganter of women’s soccer have been named TCU’s Scholar-Athletes of the Month for September based on exceptional performance in the classroom and in competition.

Noteboom, a Plano, Texas native, is a senior left tackle who has shown a great deal of excellence on the Horned Frogs offense so far this season. After the last win over West Virginia, in which they did not allow a sack, TCU’s offensive line was placed on the Joe Moore Award mid-season honor roll, which recognizes their performance in all games to date. Not only has Noteboom done a good job on the field of protecting TCU quarterback Kenny Hill, he continues to excel in his school performance also. He is a computer science major, and has been named to the Second-Team Academic All-Big 12 for the past two years, with the honor on its way this year.

Noteboom has received his undergraduate degree and continuing his education this year.

Ganter, a senior forward from Dallas, Texas, has led the TCU women’s soccer team in their successful season, recording five goals and five assists so far. After her game winning goal against Missouri, she received the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honor. Her leadership and passion also shines in the classroom, as she has been named to the First-Team Academic All-Big 12 for the past 2 years.

Ganter, a movement science major, plans to graduate in May.
