FORT WORTH – TCU’s Laszlo Gyurko and Taylor Prince are the Athletes of the Week, it was announced Wednesday by the TCU Athletics Department.
Gyurko helped the TCU men’s swimming and diving team knock off Wyoming 193.5-106.5 on Saturday at the University Rec Center. Gyurko won two individual events and was also a part of two TCU winning relays.
The Szekszard, Hungary, native won the 100-back in 50.35 and the 100-free in 45.88. Gyurko, a senior, also led off TCU’s 200-medley relay and the 400-free relay that notched wins to open and close the meet, respectively.
Equestrian’s Prince won twice over the weekend in horsemanship, improving her season record to 6-1-0. Against Oklahoma State on Sunday, Prince won a 72.5-71.5 decision to help TCU win the horsemanship portion of the competition, 3-2.
The Las Vegas, Nev., native helped the Horned Frogs to wins over West Texas A&M on Friday and fifth-ranked Oklahoma State on Sunday. Additionally, the sophomore ran her streak to five-straight game wins after the win over Oklahoma State.
