Longtime TCU athletic trainer Ross Bailey begins his sixth year as the school's Associate Director of Athletics for Operations. In his role, Bailey supervises the sports medicine department, equipment room, video services and strength and development. He also directs and manages the game-day operations for football, men's basketball and baseball. In addition, he oversees new facility development and construction as well as the maintenance of current facilities.

Prior to taking on his new responsibilities, Bailey spent the previous 22 years as Head Athletic Trainer at TCU. A certified and licensed athletic trainer, he is a member of the NATA and serves as a member on the Board of Athletic Training for the Texas Department of Health. He also works as an associate on the Justin Boots sports Medicine Team.

Bailey was the 1985 recipient of the Eddie Wojecki Athletic Trainer of the Year Award and earned the Frank Medina Award for service to athletic training and mankind in 1999. He was inducted into the SWATA Hall of Fame in 2000.

Bailey received his bachelor's degree from TCU in 1976 and his master's degree in education in 1978 from TCU. Bailey and his wife, the former Mary Hutton of San Antonio, are the parents of two daughters, Lauren, a junior at TCU, and Courtney.
