
TCU Drops Series Finale at Baylor

WACO, Texas – Early runs helped Baylor avoid the series sweep as it handed TCU a 7-3 loss Sunday afternoon at Baylor Ballpark. The setback snaps TCU's six game winning streak. Brayden Taylor and David Bishop homered for the Horned Frogs.
The Rundown
Baylor built a 4-0 lead over the first five innings. The first three runs came courtesy of a trio of two-out hits. A lead-off double in the fifth turned into another Baylor run as two wild pitches allowed the run to score for a 4-0 lead.
TCU finally got on the board in the seventh. Luke Boyers led off the inning with a double and moved to third on a wild pitch. Owen Blackledge hit a sacrifice fly to make it a 4-1 ballgame. But Baylor struck for two in the bottom of the inning to open up a 6-1 lead.
Brayden Taylor and David Bishop hit back-to-back home runs to open the eighth, pulling the Frogs back within three, 6-3. Baylor got one of the runs back in the bottom of the frame to account for the final score.
Cam Brown (2-2) took the loss after allowing four runs on seven hits in five innings of work. He fanned five and walked just one.
