No. 5 TCU hits the road for the first time this season
DAVIS, Calif. – For the first time this season, fifth-ranked TCU equestrian is slated to go on a road trip to face two California schools beginning with No. 10 UC Davis on Thursday and then heading to face Big 12-foe No. 8 Fresno State on Friday.
Both meets are set to begin at noon CT. Friday's meet against the Bulldogs will be streamed on the Mountain West Network.
This is the 34th all-time meeting between TCU and Fresno State, with the Horned Frogs leading 22-11 all time. Fresno State however leads the series in Fresno by a narrow 7-6. The Frogs have won 10 straight in the series.
TCU and UC Davis are meeting for the sixth time, and the Horned Frogs have taken all five previous meetings. The two programs last met in the 2024 NCEA Championships, with the Frogs taking a 14-4 victory.
The Horned Frogs are 2-0 on the season after taking down No. 6 Oklahoma State and No. 8 Baylor in consecutive weeks to open the season.

UC Davis enters Thursday's meet with a 1-1 record after splitting two matchups last weekend. The Aggies fell to Texas A&M before taking down conference-foe South Dakota State by a score of 12-7. Last season, UC Davis went 5-10 and were 0-3 against Big 12 opponents.
SCOUTING FRESNO STATE
The Bulldogs are 1-0 after taking down then-No. 10 South Dakota State last weekend. Fresno State went 7-7 last season, and the Horned Frogs ended their season in the Big 12 Championship.

• Entering the 2025-26 season, the TCU equestrian program is amidst its winningest era.
• The Horned Frogs have posted four straight winning seasons for the first time in the Big 12 era and just the second time in program history.

• In the preseason coaches poll, TCU was placed at No. 7, marking the 13th consecutive season the Frogs have earned a spot in the preseason rankings
• Following its win over Oklahoma State, the Frogs jumped up to the No. 5 spot.
• This season, over half of TCU's meets will be against a team featured in the Preseason Top-10.
• In addition to the entire Big 12 being in the rankings, the Frogs will go against No. 1 Georgia and No. 3 Auburn to close out their fall slate as non-conference opponents.
