The Fast Frogs are back at the Arturo Barrios Invitational
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – After a three week-long break, TCU cross country is back in action this weekend at the Arturo Barrios Invitational on Friday, Oct. 17, at 8:30 a.m. CT.
Three weeks ago in Stillwater, Anastacia Gonzales led the Distance Frogs in the women's 6k with a time of 21:32.4. For the men, Mohammad Kowa led the team in the men's 8k and finished in the top 25 with a time of 24:32.1.
Last time in College Station, Johnson Lagat and Mohammed Kowa both finished in the top five, leading the men's side to a third-place team finish. For the women, Anastacia Gonzales led the team to a sixth-place finish and recorded her fastest 5K time of the season.
The Frogs will race in their second competition of the season at Watts Cross Country Course. It marks the third 8k of the season for the men, and the women will run their second 6k of the season. TCU will compete against 38 other teams including Ohio State, Oklahoma, Houston and the host Texas A&M.
