The Horned Frogs edged Nebraska via a 275-262 advantage in tiebreaking center shots for the overall finish. TCU came in fourth in Saturday's air rifle action after falling in the tiebreaker to Jacksonville State.
Sally Li shot a 595 and qualified for the air rifle final, which takes the top eight participants. There, she shot a 163.1 to finish fourth among all 44 shooters. Hannah Black fired a 594 to finish ninth.
The pair joined Miles, who shot a 587, as three-way leaders on the final team stat sheet with 591-point averages. Li held a 596-point air rifle average over her final three outings.
Black and Li also shared the team title with 580-point smallbore averages, and Grabowski finished third (578). Even the aggregate leaderboard saw Black and Li share the spotlight with 1,171-point averages for each.
West Virginia won its third consecutive overall title, defeating Alaska by two points. The Mountaineers were nearly perfect in the air rifle round, with all five of their participants shooting a 590 or better. Maren Prediger (598) led the field and was joined by Garrett Spurgeon (596), Michael Bamsey (595) and Ziva Dvorsak (594).
The Nanooks won the smallbore title on Friday, but could not hold off the West Virginia rally. Black and Li were the Horned Frogs' top two performers on Friday, posting 579 and 578-point scores, respectively.
All five of TCU's representatives in Alaska will return in 2015-16, with Hannah Black as the only senior of the group.
