Rifle Takes Third at Murray State

Freshman Sally Li continues to impress in her debut season, posting a pair of top-10 finishes. She fired a 577 (191 kneeling, 197 prone, 189 standing) in smallbore to finish fourth. Li backed it up with a sixth place finish in air rifle (98-98-99-98-99-96=588).
TCU fired a team score of 2305 in smallbore to finish second in the discipline. Megan Lee was TCU's top shooter in the 3x20, finishing second after shooting a 582 (190 kneeling, 198 prone, 189 standing). Shooting on the counting team for the first time this season, Kelly Bogart shot a career-high 576 (190 kneeling, 197 prone, 189 standing). Hannah Black added a 570 (191 kneeling, 193 prone, 186 standing) to the aggregate score. Claudia Duksa also competed on the counting squad for the first time this season and shot a 568 (191 kneeling, 199 prone, 178 standing).
The Horned Frogs fired a team score of 2,345 in air rifle to tie Murray State, but the Racers were six shots better to give them the first place finish in air rifle.
Black was TCU's top air rifle shooter as she finished second after shooting a 591 (98-97-100-98-100-98). Along with Li's 60-shot total of 588, Green turned in a solid score of 585 (97-98-99-96-97-98) and Lee a 581 (98-95-97-95-98-98). Dowd was also a member of the counting squad and she fired a 577 (97-97-95-96-96-96).
Also competing but not factoring in the team score were Bridges, who shot a career-high 578 (97-97-97-96-95-96), Taschuk (580), Bogart (575) and Duksa (574).
The match brings to an end a four-match road swing to start the 2013-14 campaign. TCU will begin a stretch of four-straight matches at the TCU Rifle Range next Saturday when it hosts Kentucky.
