FORT WORTH - No. 3 Kentucky handed TCU its first loss in a dual match this season, upending the Horned Frogs 4,694-4,635. Sophomore Hannah Black paced the Frogs with an aggregate score of 1,166 (578 smallbore, 588 air rifle).

Black fired a 578 in smallbore (191 kneeling, 197 prone, 190 standing) to tie Sally Li (189 kneeling, 197 prone, 192 standing) for the top mark among TCU shooters. She went on to finish fourth in air rifle, shooting a 588 (99-99-97-97-98-98).

TCU fired a team score of 2,301 in smallbore. Along with Black and Lee's 578s, the Frogs were helped along by a 574 (191 kneeling, 199 prone, 184 standing) from Megan Lee and a 571 (188 kneeling, 199 prone, 184 standing) from Catherine Green.

Jaime Dowd shot a season-high 577 (190 kneeling, 198 prone, 189 standing) in smallbore as did Katie Bridges with a 566 (189 kneeling, 199 prone, 178 standing) and Allie Taschuck with a 570 (192 kneeling, 192 prone, 186 standing). Kelly Bogart fired a 571 (195 kneeling, 195 prone, 181 standing) and Claudia Duksa pitched in with a 562 (188 kneeling, 200 prone, 174 standing) to round out the TCU shooters.

In air rifle, TCU shot a season-low 2,334. Right behind Black's team-best 588 was Lee, who shot a 587 (100-99-97-96-99-96). Green fired a 581 (95-98-96-97-98-97) and Li pitched in with a 578 (94-97-95-97-98-97) to account for the team score.

Six other Horned Frogs stepped to the line but did not factor into the team score. Bridges and Dowd each fired 577s, while Bogart shot a 575 and Taschuck a 574 and Duksa fried a 570. Shooting for the first time this season was Lydia McGarva, who turned in a career-high 557.

TCU returns to the range this weekend when it hosts Alaska-Fairbanks on Saturday. The Nanooks were ranked No. 2 in last week's CRCA poll.
