FORT WORTH - The TCU Rifle team will host Air Force in an NCAA Qualifier Saturday as they look to earn a trip to the NCAA Championships.

The qualifier is one of the four scores used by the NCAA to determine the eight teams that will compete for the National Championship. The other three scores come from regular season action. All three scores must come from different match locations.

The Horned Frogs are coming off one of their best performances of the season with a 4,648-4,579 win at UTEP on Sunday. Sally Li once again set new career-highs, this time in smallbore (585) and aggregate (1,178). Kelly Bogart also finished just one point shy of her personal-best aggregate score with a 1,157-point performance.

Li paces the squad in all three disciplines this season. Hannah Black is right behind in air rifle (585.62) and smallbore (575.69). Catherine Green is ahead of Megan Lee by less than a point for the third-best air rifle tally on the season, while Lee takes that title in smallbore and aggregate.

Air Force is no stranger to TCU. The two teams went at it at the PRC Championships two weeks ago, with the Falcons dropping the Horned Frogs by two points. Air Force shot five points better than TCU on the second day, which was the air rifle round, to take second place.

Meredith Carpentier has been one of the Falcons' biggest threats this season, shooting a 592 at the PRC event in air rifle. David Higgins (581) led in smallbore while also backing up Carpentier with a 588 in air rifle.

The match marks the sixth consecutive year that TCU has faced off with Air Force in an NCAA Qualifier. TCU has won the last five of those meetings.
