FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU has announced that junior football player David Porter and freshman rifle shooter Sally Li are the Muscle Milk Athletes of the Week for Oct. 14 based on their recent performances.
Porter had a career day for the Horned Frogs in a 27-17 win against Kansas. He caught four balls for 118 yards in his first career start, including a 75-yard touchdown reception on the first play of the second half after speeding past two defenders at the line of scrimmage. The play was the longest from the line of scrimmage for TCU this season.
Porter will look to continue his hot streak when the Horned Frogs travel north to take on Oklahoma State on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Li, who has shown no signs of collegiate inexperience thus far, led all shooters in both air rifle (589) and smallbore (581) in the Horned Frogs' win over The Citadel on Saturday. In addition to being TCU's top air rifle shooter on the season, she has also improved her smallbore score in all three matches.
The Horned Frogs will wrap up their four-match road trip with an Oct. 26 tilt at Murray State.
