Rifle Hosts Nebraska Saturday

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU rifle team will close out the fall portion of their schedule on Saturday when they host Nebraska. The Frogs were dominate in their last match at The Citadel, while the Cornhuskers come in on a five-match win streak.

SCOUTING THE HORNED FROGS
TCU ran away with a first place finish at The Citadel last week, taking top honors in the four-team tournament. The record-breaking performances kept coming as the Frogs established another team record for aggregate score with a 4,669.

Sarah Scherer was consistent in both events as she claimed top honors in both smallbore (586) and air rifle (592). Her aggregate score of 1,178 is a new school record. Caitlin Morrisey had an aggregate score of 1,170 after firing a 581 in smallbore and a 589 in air rifle.

SCOUTING THE CORNHUSKERS
The Huskers are on a role as they are 6-1 on the season, including wins in their last five matches. Nebraska has handed defeats to N.C. State, Army, Ole Miss, Memphis and UTEP in the run. They are in the midst of shooting six straight matches away from home.

Ryann McGough led the Huskers in their last match with a combined score of 1,154, leading the team with a 569 in smallbore and a 585 in air rifle. Janine Dutton was the air rifle leader with a 587.
