This Season - Cannon is a tough competitor...one of the hardest trainers on the team.
As a Junior in 2005-06 - Posted the conference's fourth best time in the 400 IM at the UT Invitational on December 2, 2005...won the 400 IM (4:37.96) at the Colorado State Early Bird Invitational...took the top spot in the 500-free (5:15.30) and 400-IM (4:33.31) at North Texas...earned a first place finish in the 400 IM (4:35.42) at San Diego State...placed second in the 200-IM (2:11.48) at Utah and in the 200-breast (2:26.06) at Colorado State...earned the team's Go To Award.
As a Sophomore in 2004-2005 - Led the team in the 200-IM... competed in three events at the 2005 Conference USA Championships... finished sixth in both the 200-IM (2:06.86) and 400-IM (4:30.58)... also finished seventh in the 200-breast (2:22.43)... earned the Horned Frog Determination Award.
As a Freshman in 2003-2004 - Led the team in the 200-breast and was second in the 400-IM... finished fourth in the 400-IM (4:29.21) at the C-USA Championships, narrowly missing being an all-conference selection.
High School - Five-time winner of girls' state High Point Award... four-time Coaches' Award and Most Outstanding Swimmer Award... six-time Excellence Award... All-America honoree... Don Cook Memorial Award... competed in the U.S. Open and was a finalist in the Junior Nationals... four-time state champion in 400-IM and 200-breast... three-time state champ in 200-IM and state champ in 500-free... placed 15th at Janet Evans Invitational in the 200-breast... team captain senior year... five-time letterwinner... three-time Scholastic All-American... earned "3.5 and Above" award all through high school and placed in the Student Athlete Spotlight.
Personal - Christi Cannon is the daughter of Gary and Ellen Cannon... father played tennis at LSU... loves going to the beach and the outdoors... nursing major.
