The TCU swimming & diving program adds a trio of assistant coaches - John Funk, Caroline Maxvill and Adam Stoner - for the 2013-14 season.
An Olympic Trial Qualifier and Texas State Champion, Caroline Maxvill joins the TCU swimming and diving program as a graduate assistant coach.
A 2011 graduate of Texas A&M University, Maxvill joins the Horned Frogs after serving as head swimming and diving coach at Athens High School in 2012-13. She also served as head coach of both the Athens club swim team and summer league team and has additional experience coaching age group swimming at Metroplex Aquatics.
A four-year varsity letterwinner at Texas A&M, Maxvill helped the Aggies capture two Big 12 titles (2008, 2010) during her collegiate career while also earning Second Team Academic All-America honors in 2010. As a freshman, Maxvill swam a 2:17.38 in the 200-yard breaststroke, which ranked eighth in school history.
A native of Dallas, Texas, Maxvill attended J.J. Pearce High School where she captured the 2007 Texas 4A State title in the 100-yard breaststroke. She also posted an Olympic Trial qualifying time of 2:35.82 at Junior Nationals in 2006.
Maxvill is currently enrolled in the Master's of Liberal Arts program at TCU.
