Andy Waeger is in his second season as an assistant coach for TCU swimming and diving after joining the program in August 2012. Waeger came to the Horned Frogs after serving as the head coach at Division II Lock Haven University in Lock Haven, Pa.

In his seven years in charge at LHU, Waeger led the program to new heights. The Lady Eagles recorded its highest ever team finish at the Division II Swimming and Diving Championships when they took 16th place in 2010. He also worked as Meet Manager for the championships as LHU was the host institution.

Waeger coached student-athletes to six All-America honors and six honorable mention All-America records at Lock Haven. School records were broken 76 times and the Lady Eagles produced 15 all-conference performances. He previously served on the NCAA Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Committee before joining TCU.

Prior to Lock Haven, Waeger was at Slippery Rock University where he worked for three seasons. After serving as a graduate assistant for a season, he was elevated to head coach for the 2003-04 and 2004-05 seasons. In two years at The Rock, the team broke eight school records and produced a conference champion.

Waeger started out his coaching career as an assistant at his alma mater of Fairmont State College in West Virginia, working with distance, IM and breaststroke training groups.

During his college career with the Fighting Falcons, Waeger was a four-year letterwinner and as a senior took the conference title in the 200 breast and 400 medley relay along with serving as a team captain.

Waeger married the former Kim Fish in June 2010. The couple has a one-year old son, Aiden.
