TCU Falters Against Mean Green

DENTON, Texas -- TCU women's swimming and diving competed against metroplex rival North Texas on Friday night, falling by a score of 202-98.

Two Horned Frogs picked up wins on Friday. Claire Munster won the 100 free (52.33) and finished second in the 50 free (24.57), while Catherine Maxey won the 100 fly (57.43) and finished second in the 200 fly (2:07.05).

In the 100 back, Emily Gibson and Maddie Ibrahim finish second and third in 59.42 and 59.47 respectively. In the 200 IM, Ally Robertson and Kiki Rice finished second and third with marks of 2:09.60 and 2:10.51 respectively.

Both of TCU's relays finished second in their events. Micaela Roemer, Maxey, Munster, and Gibson finished second in the 200 medley with a 1:46.24 mark, and Roemer, Amanda Key, Munster, and Katelyn Kenchel finished second in the 400 free in 3:33.86.

In diving, Ty Sides and Grace Newell finished second and third respectively in the 1 meter with scores of 243.68 and 240.23.

The Horned Frogs return to action next weekend at the University of Texas, where they will wrap up the regular season. The meet is scheduled for Feb. 2, at 2 p.m.
