#SwimDive Concludes Big 12 Championship

AUSTIN, Texas -- The TCU swimming and diving team concluded competition at the 2017 Big 12 Swimming & Diving Championship in Austin on Saturday.
The four-day meet wrapped up after the Frogs broke a total of five school records throughout their stint at Texas.
Freshman Elise Forzley started the night with an eighth-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:59.15.
In the men's 100-yard freestyle, senior Garrett Hills took care of business as he took home seventh with a time of 44.90.
Senior Ashley Dyke raced to a 2:17.07 finish in the 200-yard breaststroke finals, placing sixth.
Three Frogs placed in the men's 200-yard butterfly finals. Junior Matt Spallas led the way in fifth place at 1:47.93. Dayne Odendaal followed in sixth at 1:48.47, and junior Carlos Hunnicutt placed eighth with a time of 1:49.45.
Overall, the women's team placed fifth, and the men's squad finished third in team standings.
