HOUSTON - The TCU divers had a challenging day Tuesday at the NCAA Zone `D' Diving Championships in the CRWC at the University of Houston. Ricky Bradley finished 29th in the men's 3-meter competition with a score of 223.45, and Katie Lybbert 46th with a 172.60 in the women's 1-meter contest.

Bradley's day did not get off to a bad start with his first dive, a forward 2 ½ somersault pike, earning him a score of 46.80. His next three dives sent him in the wrong direction as all three scored under 32 points each. Bradley had a solid recovery with his forward 2 ½ somersault 1 twist pike earning him 46.50 points, and his back 1 ½ somersault 2 ½ twist free netting 40.60 points but the damage was done.

Lybbert's day got off to the worst start possible as a failed dive put her a dive behind the rest of the field. A solid recovery with 43.2 on her reverse 1 ½ somersault pike brought some optimism. However, none of her next four dives scored over 40 points.

Competition wraps up with the platform diving contests. The women's platform begins at 11 a.m. with the men's platform contest slated to start at 2:45 p.m.
