TCU Sweeps Double Dual Meet

Fort Worth, Texas - TCU's swimming and diving team picked up two victories each as they topped Centenary and Louisiana-Monroe in their first double-dual meet of the season. Highlighting the night was a 66-47 victory over ULM for the men and a 62-50 victory for the women over ULM.
The women's team picked up six first-place finishes. TCU opened the event with three consecutive wins over the Indians. Leann Cathcart and Erica Tate finished one-two in the 50 free. Tate followed up the second-place finish with a victory in the 100 free. Erin Irons picked up a first-place finish in the 200 free (1:55.15) and a second-place finish in the 500 free. In the one-meter and three-meter diving, Kelly Seely finished each event in second place with scores of 226.50 and 248.55. On the men's side, Aran Bean helped the Frogs with two first-place finishes. Bean picked up first in the 200 breast (2:07.75) and the 200 IM (1:55.98).
The men swept the diving competition as Chad Hummel won the one-meter (266.55) and Kelly McCain won the three-meter (295.12). The 400 free relay (3:08.75) comprised of David Tietze, Mitch Loper, Yousif Del Valle, and Aaron McLachlan capped the night for the Frogs as they picked up the victory by a second to secure the Frogs victory.
The men's team remains undefeated with the two victories and are 5-0 on the season. The women's team improves to 6-1 with the sweep. Next up for the Frogs Southwest Missouri State as both the men and the women will host the Bears. The meet will begin at noon in the University Rec Center.
