TCU Wraps Up Missouri State Dual

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU women's swimming and diving finished its two-day dual with Missouri State on Sunday at the Jenks Acquatic Center in Tulsa, Okla. The Horned Frog women earned a 213-151 victory to improve to 3-2 on the season while the men fell, 114-258, moving to 1-2 overall.
The TCU women opened day two with a win in the 200-yard medley relay as Lyndsie Gibson, Gabi Korac, Ali Bleasdell and Julie Grace Sanders finished with a 1:45.76. Carley Stevens added a first-place finish in the 400-yard IM (4:29.58) while Sanders won gold in the 100-yard freestyle (52.98). Bleasdell finished first in the 100-yard butterfly (57.54), while Gibson won the 50-yard backstroke (27.14).
On the men's side, Cooper Robinson, Ford Story, Adam Szilagyi and Josh Mangus combined for a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay (1:32.86). Thor Stenfjord finished second in the 400-yard IM (4:05.65) while Sebastian Arispe added a silver-medal finish in the 100-yard freestyle (46.38). Ford Story added a second-place finish in the 50-yard breaststroke while Cooper Robinson finished second in the 200-yard backstroke (1:47.69). The freestyle relay team of Arispe, Mangus, Chris Hearl and Szilagyi capped the meet with a second-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:07.25).
The TCU diving team will be in action on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at the Incarnate Word Christmas Invitational. The entire Horned Frogs swimming and diving team will return to action on Jan. 18, 2014 in its home finale against Big 12 foe West Virginia.
