FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU swimming and diving team will travel to Shreveport, La., to take on a pair of Sun Belt Conference teams in the Ladies and Gents of Centenary College and the University of Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Centenary Fitness Center.

The men's team (5-0, 4-0) is coming off of a 28-day layoff since taking down BYU on the road, 172-119. The Frogs are currently receiving votes in the latest College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division I Top-25 poll and are the only undefeated squad in the Mountain West Conference. Junior Jeff Gettel and sophomore Edgar Crespo paced TCU with a dozen individual wins this season, as the Frogs have won 75 percent of their events this season and have yet to lose in the 50-free, 100-back, 200-back, 100-breast, 200-breast, 200-medley relay and 400-free relay.

The TCU women's team (6-6, 2-5) is returning to the water after defeating MWC foe New Mexico by the score of 156-131 at the University Rec Center Natatorium on Jan. 22. Junior Maria Paula Alvarez and sophomore Megan Higginbotham each claimed a pair of wins in a meet that TCU had eight different Frogs earn victories.

Both of Centenary’s squads are receiving votes in the latest CSCAA Mid-Major poll. The Gents are currently 2-1 and the Ladies enter the meet with a 2-2 overall record. Centenary’s men’s and women’s teams are both coming off of wins over Trinity University on Jan. 23, claiming a combined 20 first place finishes in just 34 events, led by the Ladies with 15 top honors.

UALR will be swimming in its final regular season meet before the SBC Championships, Feb. 17-20. The Trojans are 3-4 this season, looking for their first win since defeating Hendrix and Rhodes College on Oct. 23. UALR finished the home portion of its schedule with a 129-90 loss to Ouachita Baptist on Jan. 23.

The TCU men’s team boasts a perfect 10-0 record against Centenary, while the women come into Saturday’s action with an 8-0 clip against the Ladies and 2-0 mark over the Trojans.

TCU will return home to conclude the 2009-10 regular dual meet season with a MWC showdown with No. 22 UNLV on Feb. 6. TCU will honor the 2009-10 senior class 10 minutes before the first event, which is set to begin at 4 p.m.
