AUSTIN, Texas – The TCU swimming and diving team will travel down I-35 for the 2018 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championship in Austin, Texas, on Feb. 21-24 at the Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.

The women's 200-yard medley quartet of Maddie Ibrahim, Devin Newton, Micaela Roemer and Claire Munster started the conference championships with a bang, hitting the wall in fourth place with a program-best time of 1:40.83.

Three Frogs placed in the men's 200 fly finals. Matt Spallas led the way in fifth place at 1:47.93, followed by Dayne Odendaal in sixth at 1:48.47, and Carlos Hunnicutt in eighth at 1:49.45. Odendaal also finished fourth in the 400 IM, finishing in 3:52.81. Also, recording a fourth place finish, Jakub Swierczynski finished the 100 breast in 54.75.

On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, preliminaries will start at 10 a.m. with finals starting at 6 p.m. For Wednesday, the 200 medley relay, 1 meter dive and 800 free relay finals will begin at 4 p.m.
