TCU Quartet Breaks Another School Record

Day Two Results Get Acrobat Reader

AUSTIN, Texas -- On back-to-back days at the Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championship, Maddie Ibrahim, Devin Newton, Micaela Roemer and Claire Munster teamed up to break another school, this time in the 400 medley relay.

Ibrahim, Newton, Roemer, and Munster recorded a 3:40.43 mark, finishing fourth and breaking their own school record of 3:41.25 from earlier this season. The quartet broke its own 200 medley relay record on day one of the championships.

Individually, Newton reached the 200 IM finals where she finished seventh in 2:03.38.

In the men's 50 free, two Horned Frogs reached the finals, where Ross Sullivan and Jonathan Drewes finished sixth and seventh in 20.48 and 20.70 respectively. Senior Carlos Hunnicutt reached the finals in the 200 IM, where he finished eighth in 1:49.35.

Action resumes on day three of the Big 12 Championships, with the prelims kicking off at 10 a.m.
