Zone Diving Meet Next Up for 3 Frogs

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Three TCU divers will be competing at the NCAA Div. I Men's and Women's Zone D Diving Championships March 10-12 in Minneapolis in an effort to earn a berth into the NCAA Championships.
TCU's Ricky Bradley, who placed third on the platform (222.10) at the Big 12 Championships; Kristen Connolly, who placed eighth in the platform (192.10) at the Big 12 Championships, and Lauren Mikulecky will compete in the meet that is being contested at the University Aquatics Center at the University of Minnesota.
"The way Ricky and Kristen competed at the conference meet will give them confidence going into this meet, and Lauren just needs more experience," TCU swimming coach Richard Sybesma said. "All three of them are going to gain valuable experience from this meet."
In addition to TCU and host Minnesota, student-athletes from Iowa State; Texas; Kansas; Missouri State; Centenary College; LSU; Rice; Saint Louis; South Dakota State; SMU; Missouri State; Texas A&M; Tulane; Arkansas; Arkansas-Little Rock; Houston; Iowa; Missouri; Nebraska; North Texas; Northern Iowa; Wisconsin; Wisconsin-Green Bay; and Wisconsin-Milwaukee will compete in the event.
Competition in the women's 1 meter and men's 3 meters is Monday, while the men's 1 meter and women's 3 meter is Tuesday and the meet concludes Wednesday with the men's and women's platform.
The Zone D meet is one of five: Blacksburg, Va. (March 10-12); Greensboro, N.C. (March 10-12); Columbus, Ohio (March 13-15) and Colorado Springs, Colo. (March 13-15).
A total of 41 women (nine from the Zone D meet) and 35 men (seven from the Zone D meet) will earn a spot at the NCAA Championships to be held later in the month.
