Preview: Kansas

FORT WORTH – The TCU women’s swim and dive team is set to open Big 12 competition on Saturday, Oct. 28, when the Kansas Jayhawks come to the TCU Rec Center.

TCU This Season
The Horned Frogs have competed in one dual meet and traveled for a two-day meet this season. In the home opener, TCU’s women defeated UT-Permian Basin 132-94. A group of swimmers and divers traveled to FIU for the FIU Fall Classic, where the women placed sixth as a team.

Scouting the Jayhawks
Kansas opened the season with a dual meet victory over Liberty and enters Saturday’s meet after splitting a double dual meet in the team’s last time out, defeating Missouri State and falling to South Dakota.

TCU vs KU Series History
Since joining the Big 12, the women are 1-4 against Kansas with the lone victory coming in the 2013-2014 season.

“It’s a big meet,” head coach Sam Busch said. “It’s the Big 12 home opener and our women have to be ready, because Kansas is one of the better teams in the Big 12.”
