Preview: Iowa State/South Dakota

FORT WORTH – The 2017-2018 season continues on Friday for the TCU Swimming and Diving team in Ames, Iowa, when the Horned Frogs take on Iowa State and South Dakota in a double dual meet. The meet is scheduled for 11 a.m.

TCU This Season
TCU’s women are 1-1 so far this season with a sixth place finish at the FIU Invitational, while the men are 1-1 with a fourth place finish at FIU. Both teams won their season openers against UT-Permian Basin.

Scouting the Cyclones
The Cyclones are 1-1 so far this season, opening the season with a loss at Nebraska. Iowa State won its home opener over Omaha, 198-91.

TCU vs Iowa State Series History
The Horned Frogs are 0-2-1 against the Cyclones, with TCU’s last win coming in 2013, when the women won 160.5-139.5.

Scouting the Coyotes
So far this season, South Dakota’s men are 3-3, while the women are 2-4. The Coyotes competed against Big 12 team Kansas earlier this season, with both the men’s and women’s teams falling.

Friday will be the first time the teams have faced since 2015, when TCU won 170-130.
