General

  • Another TCU football player who made his presence felt on the track last spring.
  • Competed at the collegiate level in track for the first time in his career and became the school's record holder and a national qualifier in the high jump.
  • Extremely talented athlete who could also compete in the long jump and triple jump in addition to the high jump.

    2003

  • Did not join the track team until the conclusion of spring football drills.
  • Finished second at the Conference USA Outdoor Championships, jumping a school record 2.22 meters (7-03.25), topping the old mark of 7-03, set by Jason Howard in 1999.
  • Earned a trip to the NCAA Outdoor Championships... suffered a slight hamstring pull and did not make the opening height.

  • Lettered in football, baseball and track & field at Fort Worth's Dunbar High School.
  • Earned all-America honors in track after winning the high jump competition at the 2000 Texas Relays with a height of 7-01.25.
  • Was a three-time Junior Olympic participant.
