* Kendall Pyant returns for his second season with the Flyin' Frogs program... arrived in the spring of 2002 and competed during the indoor season... was injured and missed the bulk of the outdoor campaign.

* Base event is the quartermile... is a candidate for the 4x400 meter relay unit again in 2003.


* Arrived at the semester break... competed at 400 meters and on the 4x400 meter relay unit in his freshman indoor season.

* Ran an indoor best 48.26 400 meters at the Tyson Indoor Classic in Fayetteville, Ark. on February 1.

* Placed fifth in the quartermile at the Conference USA Indoor Track & Field Championships... finished in a time of 48.71 seconds.

* Ran just once during the outdoor season, a 47.19 clocking at the LSU Alumni Gold Invitational on March 16.

* Missed the remainder of the campaign with injuries.

High School

* Graduated from Lee's Summit (Mo.) High School in 2001... lettered four times in track & field and three times in football... coached in track by Dave Denny.

* Was a three-time (1998, 1999, 2000) all-metro, all-area and all-state performer in track & field... injured for much of his senior campaign.

* Won the state title in the 400 meters in `99 and the long jump in 2000.

* Earned all-conference honors in football in 1999 and 2000.


* Kendall Allen Pyant II was born March 16, 1983... parents are Kendall and Sharon Pyant.

* Pursuing a business degree... aspires to be either a stock broker or sports agent.

* Active in the Reading Frogs, FCA and Big Brothers/Big Sisters programs at TCU.
