* Demario Wesley is one of the most physically talented individuals to put on a TCU track singlet.

* Expected to be a factor on the national level in the 60, 100 and 200 meters, as well as potential anchor the TCU 4x100 relay team.

* Signed originally to play football at TCU two years ago following an outstanding prep career at Fort Worth's O.D. Wyatt High School.

2000-2001 (Garden City C.C.)

* Was the national junior college champion in the indoor 60 meters and in the outdoor 100 meters (10.25w) despite battling some injuries...Ran for coach David Self.

* Best times recorded were 6.62 in the 60 and 10.09w in the 100.

High School

* Captured first place in the 100 meters at the state track meet in 1998...Also anchored his 4x100 meter relay team to a state title and a national high school record.

* Originally signed to play defensive back at TCU after an all-star career at O.D. Wyatt High School in Fort Worth.

* Named to the national Top 100 list, was a two-time all-district (7-5A) selection, Prep Star all-region (midwest-southwest) and Super Prep Southwest Top 100 in 1997.
