Frogs Close Out Season at NCAA Indoor

ALBUQUERQUE -- TCU closed out the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships Saturday at the University of New Mexico with the men's 4 x 400 relay and the Frogs (Ronnie Baker, Harvey McSwain, Lavon Collins, Sam Watts) finished fourth in their heat and 11th overall with the time of 3 minutes, 12.41 seconds.

The TCU women finished the meet 19th in the nation.

Friday night, Frog Lorraine Ugen won the women's long jump with a mark of 22 feet, 1 inch. TCU's Whitney Gipson won the indoor national championship in 2012. In addition, Gibson won the 2012 and 2013 outdoor long jump national champion and Ugen won the 2013 outdoor long jump title.

With her individual title, Ugen earns First-Team All-American status, while Jordan Moore, who finished 11th in the 60H Friday night with the time of 7.83, earned Second-Team All-American honors as did the men's 4 x 400 relay team.

The Frogs open the outdoor season Thursday and Friday at the TCU Invitational.
