FORT WORTH, Texas -- Following Friday's final day of the TCU Invitational, Frog track and field coach Darryl Anderson was pleased with how his team performed in its first outdoor meet of the season.

"We had a good day. We had a lot of good performances," he said. "We came out of the gate and got regional marks out of the way. All in all it was a positive."

Junior Megan Smith, who won the women's discus in record-setting fashion Thursday with a throw of 181 feet, won the shot put Friday with a mark of 52-08.75 inches.

In addition to Smith's top performance, Jordan Moore won the 110 hurdles with the time of 13.72 seconds, while Lavon Collins won the 400-meter hurdles with the time of 53.56.

TCU's Ramone Bailey won the men's long jump at 24-06.50 and Tricia Terry won the 1,500 meters at 4:37.62, while Iphona-Clemence Paiement, Sabrina Moore, Veronica Jones and Lorraine Ugen won the 4 x 100 meters at 44.92, and Briyanni Thomas won the 400 meters at 54.74.

"We had a lot of good performances," Anderson said. "(It's hard) to rattle them all off. Now the key is can we do this kind of thing in practice and can we do this kind of thing away from home. That's critical."

In the men's 200 meters, Anderson was happy with four student-athletes posting times under 21.00 seconds: Sam Watts (20.50); Cameron Echols-Luper (20.61); Baker 20.72; and Malik Summers (20.99).

Cameron Tabor placed second in the shot put (55-02.75) and the team of Thomas, Jones, Alexandria Peters and Tiffany Terry placed second in the 4 x 400 meters at 3:41.83. Makena Schroder was second in the women's javelin with a throw of 143-11, and Justin Chambers was second in the 800 meters (1:54.96).

In other notable performances: Kolby Listenbee and Ronnie Baker (the for fourth, 100 meters, 10.23); D'Andre Lewis (fourth, 800 meters, 1:55.51); Jones (fourth, 200 women's 200 meters, 23.54); Peters (fourth, women's 400 meters, 56.71).
