TCU Posts 3 Top 5's Saturday at Relays

AUSTIN, Texas-- The TCU men's and women's track and field teams posted three top-five finishes Saturday at the Texas Relays contested at Mike A. Myers Stadium at the University of Texas.
The men's 4 x 400 relay team of Harvey McSwain, Sam Watts, Justin Chambers and Ronnie Baker was third (University division) with the time of 3:08.60, while in the same event on the women's side Tiffany Terry, Jones, Alexandria Peters and Briyanni Thomaswas fifth in the University/College division with the time of 3:38.83.
Individually, Baker, who competed in a total of six events for the Frogs at the Relays, placed eighth in the men's 100 meters with the personal-best time of 10.38, while Tricia Terryplaced eighth in the 1,500 meters in the College/University division with her personal-best time of 4:21.91.
"Tricia ran really well," TCU track and field coach Darryl Andersonsaid. "That will get her into the regional meet so that is a plus."
In addition to Terry, Baker and the men's and women's 4 x 400 relay teams posted times that will get them into the regional meet, Anderson said.
The Frogs continue the outdoor season Friday and Saturday at the Florida Relays at the University of Florida.
