Frogs Fight Weather In Arlington

March 31, 2002

The TCU Flyin' Frogs battled rainy weather all afternoon, limiting their performance at the 2002 UTA Invititational, held at Maverick Stadium in Arlington on Saturday.

"We didn't get anybody hurt, which is the most positive thing to say about today's meet," said TCU head coach Monte Stratton. "The weather was certainly a factor. No one performed exceptionally well, but we came out of it healthy. We'll look for a better performance next week at the Texas Relays."

The Frogs got victories from Terrance McBryde in the 400, Perhona Tomlin in the 800, Cindy Dietrich in the 1500 and from the women's 4x100 meter relay team. The weather kept the TCU men from competing in the 200, 5000 and the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays.

The Frogs will travel to Austin next weekend for the prestigious Texas Relays, scheduled for April 4-6.
