TCU Distance Runners Compete at Texas Relays

Austin, Texas - A trio of TCU distance runners turned in solid performances as the 77th running of the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays began Wednesday in Austin.

Freshman Calandra Stewart took the silver medal among 12 runners in the "B" section of the women's 1500 meter run, completing the metric mile in 4:38.60. Katrina Zielinski captured the bronze medal among 19 runners in the women's invitational 10,000 meter run. The sophomore from Flower Mound covered the distance in 37:25.94. Johnathan Bundren competed in the men's 10,000-meter invitational. The sophomore distance runner from Tulsa, Oklahoma completed the 10K in 33:05.17 to place 12th among 18 competitors.

The nationally-acclaimed meet continues at the Mike A. Myers Stadium on the University of Texas campus Thursday and continues through Saturday.
