Austin, Texas - The 78th running of the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays got underway today at Mike A. Myers Stadium on the University of Texas campus in Austin. The TCU Flyin' Frogs were represented in both the men's 1500 meter run and in the men's steeplechase event on the first day of the four-day meet.

In the "B" section of the 1500, freshman Houston Bolin posted a time of 4:06.02 to place ninth, while junior Johnathan Bundren turned in a time of 4:12.91 to finish 12th.

Senior Steven Lenney turned in the Frogs' best performance in the "B" section of the 3000 meter steeplechase, covering the distance in 9:48.83 to place seventh. Teammate J.T. Reinert was 10th in a time of 10:16.27.

"I thought Lenney ran a solid race," said TCU distance coach Patrick Cunniff. "It was hard to adjust to the short week after competing last Saturday in Arlington," he noted. "We will receive the benefit on the other side, as these guys won't race again until we compete at Oklahoma in 10 days."

The meet continues on Thursday with the Frogs participating in both the men's and women's 5,000 meter runs, as well as in the women's 400 meter hurdles.

"I'm anxious to see how we do in the 5,000, as that will be the first 5K we run during this outdoor season," said Cunniff.
