Smith Wins Discus, Shot Put in Waco

WACO -- For the second time in two weeks TCU junior Megan Smith posted a double-double with wins in the women's discus and shot put Saturday at the Michael Johnson Invitational hosted by Baylor University.
She won the shot put Saturday with a throw of 50-09.50 and the discus with a mark of 180.10.
Two weeks after winning the UNT Spring Classic, Aaron Tombleson repeated the feat by winning the men's hammer with a throw of 178-07 Saturday.
In addition to Smith and Tombleson, Frog Anna Robinson was the top collegiate finisher in the long jump at 18-09.75; Jordan Moore (14.09) was the top collegiate finisher in the 110H; and Mikaila Flannigan was first in the afternoon 100H at 14.26.
TCU freshman Alexandria Peters was second in the 400 meters (56.39); the 4x100 team of Kolby Listenbee, Cameron Echols-Luper, Ronnie Baker, Sam Watts placed second at 39.90; and Adam Damadzic had a mark of 177-00 in the men's discus.
The Frogs are back in action April 24-26 at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.
