LOS ANGELES – TCU saw some solid performances from its women’s 5,000-meter runners at the Mt. SAC Relays Friday night at Hilmer Lodge Stadium.
The Horned Frogs’ top competitor was Agnes Kemboi. The senior finished third in section ‘A’ of the women’s 5,000-meter run in a time of 16:19.92. Joining her in the heat was TCU freshman Ashley Eckhoff, who finished 13th in a career-best time of 16:32.51. The performance saw Eckhoff improve on her fourth-best standing in TCU history for the event.
Earlier in the evening, Tricia Terry competed in the Olympic Development Elite division of the 5,000-meter run. Running the 5K for the first time on the season, Terry finished in a career-best mark of 16:41.00. The time moved her into fifth in TCU history for the event.
The Horned Frogs are back in action Saturday at the Michael Johnson Classic at Baylor. Events begin at 9:30 a.m.
