FORT WORTH -- TCU track and field standouts Jordan Moore and Megan Smith earned Muscle Milk Athletes of the Week honors for their recent performances.

Moore had a career day for the Horned Frogs at the New Mexico Team Invitational on Saturday. Moore broke a 14-year-old school record in the 60-meter hurdles twice at the meet. The McDonough, Ga., native posted a 7.83 finish in a preliminary heat before eclipsing that with a 7.72 time in the finals to finish second overall by three one-hundredths of a second.

Moore, who played several snaps as a tailback for the football team last fall, broke the record previously set by LaTarence Dunbar. Dunbar played three years in the NFL after a standout career on the gridiron for TCU.

Smith, a junior out of Olathe, Kan., began her day with a bang by recording her best shot put throw on her first attempt. Her 16.08 meter toss was the best among all female throwers as she placed first overall. Smith currently ranks No. 2 in the Big 12 and No. 19 nationally in the event.

The TCU track team will return to action Feb. 7-8 at the Aggie Invitational in College Station.
