FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU men's and women's indoor track teams will look to build on last week's meet in New Mexico when they compete at the Texas A&M Aggie Invitational Saturday in College Station, Texas.
"We had a good meet (in New Mexico) and we're looking to continue our success," TCU Track and Field coach Darryl Anderson said. "The competition this weekend will be very similar with last week."
Along with TCU and host Texas A&M, Arizona State, Baylor, Houston, LSU, Tennessee, UCLA and UTEP are scheduled to compete in the meet held at the Gilliam Indoor Track & Field Stadium at McFerrin Athletic Center.
"There are a lot of ranked team in this meet and anytime you compete against a ranked team there is motivation," Anderson said. "We're going to go out and do the best that we can."
Anderson said in several events, including the 60 meters and mile relay, will have an NCAA championship feel.
"With what Raymond Bozmans did last week and the way Kolby Listenbee is running and you add the Arizona State, Baylor, LSU, Houston and Texas A&M guys, the 60 is like being at the NCAA championships," Anderson said.
Bozmans is ranked ninth in the 60 meters (6.62).
In the 4 x 400 relay the Frogs have the fourth-fastest time in the country (3:06.89), and Texas A&M has the third-fastest time (3:05.06).
"We're excited about the level of competition and we're looking forward to going there," Anderson said.
