Field events get underway at 11 a.m. Friday and running events follow at noon. Competition Saturday begins at noon with field events followed by running events at 1 p.m. The event will be contested at the Randal Tyson Track Center.

"The Tyson Invitational is one of the top collegiate meets in the nation to this point of the season," TCU track coach Darryl Anderson said.

Anderson said the meet is an opportunity for the Frogs to gear up for the conference meet.

"They will be trying to improve their stock and position," Anderson said.

Anderson looks for Megan Smith and Cameron Tabor to have good meets in the throws, along with Jordan Moore, Kolby Listenbee, Malik Summers in the sprints and Tricia Terry in the distance events.

"This has the opportunity to be a real special weekend," Anderson said. "There are a lot of ranked teams and there are a lot of events that will be very competitive."
