FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU men's and women's indoor track and field teams will compete in their second Big 12 Conference Indoor Championships Friday and Saturday at the Lied Recreation Center at Iowa State University.

Entering the event, the Frogs are conference leaders in four events: Raymond Bozmans (60 meters); Jordan Moore (60 hurdles); Lorraine Ugen (long jump) and the men's 4 x 400 relay team.

"The last couple of meets we have competed really well in light of the circumstances, and if we do that at the Big 12 Indoor Championships we'll be fine," TCU track and field coach Darryl Anderson said.

Bozmans, who is currently ranked 11th nationally, placed eighth (7.02) last year at the conference meet. Kolby Listenbee (6.70) and Ronnie Baker (6.76) are currently ranked sixth and eighth, respectively. Echols-Luper is also ranked seventh in the conference in the long jump.

Moore, the school record holder in the 60H, is ranked fifth nationally.

Sam Watts, Cameron Echols-Luper, and Malik Summers are currently ranked sixth, seventh and 10th, respectively, in the conference in the 200 meters, while Narada Jackson, Joshua Washington and Ronnie Baker are third, sixth and eighth.

"We've got quite a bit to pick and choose from on the men's side where we are going to have a good amount of success," Anderson said.

Ugen, the defending NCAA outdoor champion in the long jump, is tops in the conference and fourth nationally in the event with a jump of 21-0.75 at the New Mexico Invitational.

Tricia Terry, who placed third in the mile (4:47.75) and sixth in the 3,000 meters (9:28.92), set a new school record in the mile at 4:42.52 at the Tyson Invitational, while Megan Smith is second in the conference in the shot out (52-9.25). She placed fifth in the meet last year (52-09.50).

The field events and running events begin at 3 p.m. Friday, while Saturday field events begin at noon and running events get underway at 1:30 p.m.
