Frogs to Compete at Texas Relays
March 26, 2014
"It's the biggest outdoor meet in the country this week and there will be a big fan base there so we want to go there and run well," TCU track and field coach Darryl Anderson said.
"From a confidence standpoint we had some athletes get regional qualifying marks out of the way," Anderson said. "It was huge. To break the ice on the outdoor season and get ourselves going was good."
Decathlon and heptathlon events began Wednesday and continue Thursday. Field events begin Thursday at 12:30 p.m. with the women's hammer, while running events begin at 4:30 p.m. with the preliminaries of the women's 400 hurdles.
"This is one of the meets that's important to us because it's in our home state," Anderson said.
The evening session begins at 7 p.m.
