Fitzgerald led the squad with a .688 (11-for-16) average over four games. He paced the squad with his 11 hits and nine RBIs while totaling two doubles and one triple. In addition to his his high average, he boasted a 722 on-base percentage. In the three game sweep of Kansas State, he hit .667 (8-for-12) with six RBIs and five runs scored.
In the win at Stephen F. Austin, he went 3-for-4 with three RBIs. He reached base in four of five plate appearances. His first-inning double capped a five-run first inning for the Horned Frogs. In game one against Kansas State, Fitzgerald was 1-for-4 with an RBI. He drove in the second run of the game in the second inning. His two-out base hit in the fourth inning of game two against the Wildcats tied the game and he eventually scored the third run of the inning in a 3-1 win. He finished the night 3-for-3 with a walk. Fitzgerald had a career-day in the series finale against the Wildcats as he posted career highs in hits (4), runs scored (4) and RBIs (4). Fitzgerald doubled in the first run of the game. His second hit of the night pulled TCU within two, 7-5 and he eventually scored what would prove to be the game-winning run.
For the second week in a row, Terry won the women's 1,500 meters, this time at the Longhorn Invitational. Last week she won the prestigious Drake Relays (16:17.57) and this past Saturday she won in Austin with the time of 4:24.74. For Terry, it's her third win of the season in the event. Along with the Longhorn Invitational and Drake Relays, she also claimed the TCU Invitational (4:37.62) March 21.
