DES MOINES, Iowa
- The following are quotes from the second day of competition at the 2008 NCAA Championships.
"We have had a decent week and a successful year. Obviously, Jonathan comes back tomorrow and will look to end his career the right way. Overall, we have some things that we need to do over the off-season to get better, but we put some things into place this week that will help us move forward and strive for the best."
"For them to finish seventh in the country isn't bad, but that group is young so they will all be back next year and have a chance to do even better."
"It feels good to be an All-American, but its tough right now to talk about. I was close to finishing in the top-eight, but I had a heck of a run. It's not bad for a four year walk-on to come out here and compete against the best in the nation."
"Overall, it didn't go as well as I would have planned, but I qualified for tomorrow and that was the ultimate goal for today. Tomorrow I just need to do whatever it takes to bring home the win."
"We might not have done as good as we could have in the 4x100, but at the end of the day I am proud of us because we did our best. It feels good to be an All-American in the 200, but at the same time I wanted to be in the big heat and hopefully next year I will be able to do that."
"We finished seventh in the country so that is an accomplishment, but we could have done better. Next year we need to go for the win because we have everyone back."
